Talmud on Sundays, with Rabbi Mordecai Schwartz

Continuing our popular survey of the Talmud, we will be making our way through the most impoM Schwartzrtant texts in Seder Nashim this year. This portion of the Talmud deals with marriage, fidelity, adultery, divorce, child-rearing, household economics, forbidden and permitted sexual relationships, gender-roles, genealogy, and the role of the family in society, as well as a range of other topics related to husband and wives. All texts are provided in English and Hebrew, but some general knowledge of the Talmud is assumed.

Semester 2: (2017) Jan. 15, 22, 29; Feb. 5, 12, 26; March 5, 19, 26; April 2, 23, 30; May 7, 21, 28

Members: $50 per semester or $100 per year

Non-Members: $60 per semester or $120 per year
